  1. Howard would be first.

And I wish Stevie would come in, so I can go to bed.

  2. Finally went to bed at two. Stevie hadn't come in, but I was too exhausted to wait up longer. Left the porch light on for him. He's not back yet this morning, though I've been calling. And yes, I'm worried. Been a long time since he stayed out all night.

  3. Here's hoping he's OK, puddle.

Haven't been around here for a bit, pretty darn busy. Off to San Diego tomorrow and the next day for a Navy court martial. Weather should be cool compared to Fresno.

Awaiting word on Stevie. Will be checking back as often as I can.

  5. Thanks Bill and Alan. Still nothing.

I think there's the merest chance that he sneaked back in last night (I had the door open for hours), and is hiding in here somewhere (he's had several episodes of that in the past few months).

  7. Still not in that I know about. Door's been wide open all afternoon so he can/could if he wants.

  9. Ohhh, I'm still hoping. Maybe he got lucky out there last night and caught something yummy, so he's not hungry yet. How has the weather been?

Rained last night, as it did the night before. Gray most of the day with occasional light sprinkles, but a bit of sunshine toward evening. Current temperature 57.

In totally unimportant news, I got my teeth cleaned at the dentist this afternoon.

  11. We are hosting Flat Stanley for a few weeks, all the way from California. He arrived in the mail on Friday, from little Shanna, just in time to accompany us on our trip to Rhode Island and Cape Cod. So he has already journeyed to VT, NH, MA and RI with us, and I'll take him to Maine with me next month when I go on retreat. This is the 3rd grade class project of the daughter of a fellow that Mah*Sweetie has contracted work to for over 10 years. Their 12 year old dog just died this week (rough month for pets!) so we are glad we can offer something fun for 8 year old Shanna.

  12. Been wonderfully warm. And yes, he's still capable of hunting, though it startles me when he does. Cold snap coming for the weekend, though.

  14. It's fun! We stopped at Plymouth Rock on our way home from the Cape on Sunday, just so we could take a photo there with Flat Stanley. We honestly wouldn't have made the stop but for this project, and I am grateful for the way it inspires our imaginations!

  15. He's HOME!! Just fed him, and boy did he scarf it down, lol! Now purring and head butting up a storm! Thanks for being here with me, my friends!

  16. Just gave him a small bowl of Cherry Garcia (which he adores).

  18. =^. .^= Welcome home, Stevie!!!

I could not be happier!!! I'm getting all teary-eyed!!
We were due for a GOOD pet story ending, eh?!

Sounds like he got stuck somewhere...in a shed or up a tree.
Sweet to think of him that happy to be home,
and you so happy to have him.

We'll all sleep better tonight! ♥

  19. Say, if I wander around for a few days and end up at your house,
can I have a bowl of Cherry Garcia too? 8-)

Or maybe Stevie got lost for a while until he caught a familiar scent.

  21. listener, indeed! And that goes for the Cherry Garcia, too, lol!

I just moved your post for the 29th to today, which didn't have one. It leaves you a gap for tomorrow though.
