  2. Slept a full night, got up and wrote a 10 page descriptive account of the wedding for a dear old friend who cannot see well enough to make out the photos. She has difficulty hearing well on the phone, so her son will read it to her.

Then I "found" two rooms upstairs that haven't been unearthed since maybe April, due to the big push on the quilt. That felt great.

Now I'm going to have a bite then go out and "find" the gardens out back. So nice to feel homelife getting back to comfy again.

All this and it's in the low 70's and sunny. Perfect.

  4. Been really fine here today -- peaked below seventy. Sunny with just a bit of wind. Terrific working day. Wish I had. But just doodled.

  8. The other night at karaoke, someone sang "Ice Ice Baby". I now have that song stuck in my head. Except I don't actually know the whole song, so it's just a constant loop of "if you got a problem, yo, I'll solve it!" interspersed with countless repetitions of "ice, ice, baby".

  9. That always drives me nuts, but it's easily mended.

  10. Hey, Kate Winslet was on the British Virgin Islands as Irene went by. Lightning set Richard Branson's house on fire, where she was staying. She helped his 90 year old mother escape by carrying her out!

  11. Thanks. Normally, that's what I'll do. Today, though, I seem to have the attention span of a gnat.
