That website shows them best, but I actually got them on sale at the Easy Spirit website!

These are to go with my muted turquoise dress and blue and turquoise batik'd jacket and soft wheat coloured hat! I'm still hunting for a bit of matching turquoise mesh to decorate the hat a bit. If all else fails, I can use the sash from the dress.

  2. Hey. Just waking up. Thankfully, I did get a decent amount of sleep last night.

  3. You are having such fun with this!

The gold leather reminded me of a pair of sandals I got three years ago ~~ (this picture shows a blue, but was the best I could find) http://s3.backcountry.com/900/PTF/PTF0049/PTF0049-LOTI.jpg These are destined to be my favorite footwear of all time: putting them on is like having wings attached to your heels, lol!

They were $92, the year they came out, and I would *never never never* have bought them, but got 'em on ebay for $32. If I saw them again, I might well pay the $92, or more. They are beautiful, and gloriously comfortable. With no doubt the most well made shoe/sandal I've ever owned.

    Patagonia.

  4. Beautiful moderate day. Looking like we had our July weather the first week in June, lol!

  5. Trying out a chat thingy at the bottom of the page on the main site.

  6. Hurray! It's so hard to find the right shoes. Well done, listener.

Good luck with the remainder of your quest.

  7. In my teens I had a pair of sandals/summer shoes that were incredibly comfortable and easy to walk in. Unfortunately, they were turquoise which, though a fine color in itself, didn't go with much of anything I owned at the time. Nonetheless, I wore those shoes for years, literally until they fell apart. Mum tried, but could never find another pair exactly like them.

  9. Sorry, Renee, can't use it. It is totally inaccessible to Window-eyes.

  10. Well, that sucks.

I can't even find it on the page. Or was it taken off when it turns out Cat can't use it? (Things that don't work with screen readers are, unfortunately, all too common.)

Not moderate here. Yahoo says it's currently 94. And the prediction is for 90s all week.

I slept almost 10 hours last night. Then took another hou's nap this afternoon. Don't know why I seemed to need so much sleep, unlesss it is the heat.

  14. Yes, I took it off. I thought I could add a widget for the chat Cat had successfully used, but it doesn't work. Still toying with that, though.

  15. Looks like what we're expecting here too.

  16. It probably is the heat. I myself nap a lot more in hot weather than in cold.

  17. Hey... Just 'cause I couldn't use it doesn't mean you had to take it away...

    That was sweet, Renee.

And, remember, in my vocabulary, "sweet" is a very good thing.

  18. It's not like there are THAT many of us here. And to my knowledge, everyone was able to get into the Scribblar room I was trying out the Chatango thing for something else, and thought I'd try it here.

  19. The funny thing, you two, is that I am wearing a muted turquoise dress, so either pair would have worked great for me! LOL!

  20. Even Vermont is expecting 90's this week! =UGH!!=

  21. I never tried getting into the Scribblar room. Not sure what it is.

  22. Just got home from seeing Harry Potter 7.2! Left the movie theatre and noticed a large blood red moon on the rise. Driving home down a wooded road we were besieged by large raindrops and some hail. Got home and discovered that the heart-shaped wreath between our doors had fallen.

  23. Susan, we liked it too. I won't spoil it for anyone, but the audience applauded in three places! Ha! Somehow, though, since leaving the theatre I keep thinking of things I would have expanded on or staged differently.

  24. Is it just me, or did the basic reasoning for Harry's survival get lost along the way between book one and book seven?

  25. Bill Thomasson7/17/2011 11:30:00 PM

Ii've only read book 1, which struck me as too YA to justify moving the remained ahead of the multitude of other books I want to read. But I've heard others say that Harry discovers the reason he thought he survived wasn't the real reason.

    remained = remainder

  27. Thanks, Bill. I'm disappointed in the change in reasoning.

But I guess I'll have to write my own books, if I'm to be such a critic.
