Wow! Alaska had a 7.2 earthquake a few hours ago. Fortunately, it was out in the Aleutian Islands and they've decided that it didn't create a tsunami after all.
We've all been kind of twitchy and strung out around here. The roofer and the insurance adjuster are coming tomorrow to look at the roof. My sister and BIL are sort of on hold on the house purchase because the bank won't grant their loan until there's a new roof on that house. It's in the pipeline, but there are hundreds and hundreds of people in and near my neighborhood with roofing company signs in their front yards. Everything seems to just sort of creep along. Sister and BIL are staying in an extended stay hotel with their little dog and cat and the constant proximity is starting to wear nerves thin.
And it has rained and/or stormed almost every single day.
Well, they (TPTB), seem to just be following the model of our current government. That is, make the greatest number of people as miserable as you can. I'm speaking both of federal and state. Our freak of a Goldman-Sachs governor is just unbelievable. He's privatizing everything and now passing an I.D. law for voting. ACLU intends to bring suit and I've contributed $$ to the effort. What the hell is wrong with people who want to victimize the poor, the disabled and the elderly? If they bring out the Soylent Green, I'm running.
Tecnu is a wash that absolutely washes the stuff OFF. It was developed to wash off radio active dust, and it *really* works! I'm VERY allergic, and if I can get to it in under 12 hours, that, and the calagel (clear) pretty much takes care of it in 24 hours. I don't think I could live here without it.
iHoward Dean = numero uno!

That's just silly: get an estimate, put the money in escrow, and carry on. Dang, making people's life so unnecessarily tough for stupid rules.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the daily rain, but it's making it very tough to get rid of the poison ivy -- rain keeps washing the ivy killer off.

ReplyDeleteWhat's Technu??
ReplyDeleteWhat's Tecnu?
ReplyDeleteYowser, Susan!!
ReplyDeleteAn I.D. law for voting would also freak me out most. This should be illegal!!
Oohhhh, puddle. You might want to wait until the poisonous itching subsides before getting out there to do more. Take care!! ♥
