Professional soccer player Carson Pickett, who was born without a left forearm, shared a heartwarming moment with 2-year-old fan Joseph Tidd, who was also born without his left arm. The two gently bumped arms, creating an inspiring symbol of connection and resilience.
Carson Pickett (born September 15, 1993) is an American soccer player who plays as a left back for the Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
Beyond the pitch, she actively advocates for limb difference awareness, using her platform to inspire others by embracing her own story.
We got Spinnaker switched from pill to liquid antibiotic today, after the big ol' pill made her gag and lose breakfast. SIGH. Poor kitty actually went into our walk-in closet to be alone and not around us. THAT is a first!! We gave her some space, then a fluid treatment. She is feeling a bit better...even got her purring. Pretty soon, though, we have to administer the liquid. If this round of meds doesn't quell what ails her, we are talking end-of-life discussion time. Hoping so much that it's "just" the UTI and that the kidney concern is small enough to treat from home.

ReplyDeleteThe most important part is Major Watson's powerful speech. There's a few minutes of a holding pattern and then the stream resumes with him walking to his spot on the Capitol steps. He stands there, holding his sign while supporters chant. It doesn't take long before the cops show up, to massive boos and catcalls from the crowd. He was brave and true. I hate to think what Hegseth will do to him. What a genuine American hero!
