  1. It's Splash Day!! ⛵️
I woke Weds morning with a bad gut, and it slowly improved throughout the day.
No idear where that came from since I haven't gone much of anywhere. But I guess the grocery store is enough?

    1. Well, turns out I'm not quite done with the gut issue, so I stayed home from the Splash event. Sigh. (But at least I put in the work to get the boat ready? Heh.). I got to watch Wil and Root*Center*Son head off via the marina cam, at least!

    2. I'm sorry, Listener. But, you chose the wise course. Are you feeling better by now?

    3. Thanks, Cat. It's slowly getting better. Wil is fine, so we think it must be something only I ate, but we can't figure out what it was. At least I got to watch the boat at the marina on their cam! AND! It was so cold and windy the guys didn't go sailing or racing. They just motored enough to test the new motor mount and took it to the mooring. But! The new mount worked perfectly!!

    4. A successful test run. Excellent!

As for your, er, digestive issues: It's so frustrating when you can't figure out what caused such problems. Is there more of it in the pantry or fridge? Will it have similar deleterious effects if you eat it again? Most unsettling. I guess the important thing is that you're getting better.

    5. Well, I'm definitely eating very carefully. And all leftovers are being discarded.
I am doing much better tonight. We won't have to cancel our trip to Maine (tomorrow).

  2. When I try to clean and organize my house I know how Sisyphus must have felt! It's awful! Susan

    1. Oh, Susan, I hear you, sister! And to make it worse, procrastination increases the problem geometrically rather than linearly. You look at the mess on Monday and think, "I can't cope with this today." Then, by Friday it has grown, not four or five times, but ten times worse. At which point, you begin having a serious nervous breakdown and thinking it might be better just to let it take over and swallow you whole. That's pretty much the point I'm at. As long as there's a clear path to my bed, that's good enough, and pretty much as good as it's gonna get, for a while anyway. I admire your tenacity.

    2. Hang in there, both of you!!
When we needed to change ALL our flooring (even in closets) we had to pull every thing out of its tucked away place and reorganise. It took from October to April but we got it done. Well, when I say "done" I mean we did all we could (which was a LOT!) and the rest got set into bins with lids and labeled, "Sort later." We haven't started that sorting in the past year, but we've been dealing with grief over Shiloh's death, so I give us a free pass. Mostly it's that I haven't been ready to look at the full bins of old photos that need organising. We'll get there when we get there. But for now it looks neat as the bins are down in the basement out of sight.

  3. Today I sent this email to my good Senators Bernie and Peter and my good Rep. Becca:

Thank you in advance, because I fully trust you will do whatever you can to keep this idea of $1.8 billion dollars of our tax money from being placed into a fund that potentially compensates insurrectionists, in direct opposition to the Constitution.

Thank you for standing with American citizens and the Constitution at the heart of our Democracy.
