  4. Guardian: A jury ruled in favor of Sam Altman in the culmination of a long and bitter legal battle that pitted the richest person in the world against a leader of the AI boom.

The federal jury in Oakland, California, found Altman, OpenAI and its president, Greg Brockman, not liable for Musk’s claims that they unjustly enriched themselves and broke a founding contract made with Musk when founding the startup.

The verdict, delivered after less than two hours of deliberation, is a stark rebuke of Elon Musk and his lawyer’s claims that Altman “stole a charity” through his leadership of OpenAI. It also provides the AI firm with a clear path ahead to pursue going public later this year at about a $1tn valuation. nordy

  6. I'm pretty darn tired, so am heading off to sleep. Could not fall asleep last night until 7:00am!! Only when I finally dragged out of bed at 11:00am did I notice that I never took my usual 3mg of melatonin, so that probably threw off my biological clock. Ah well, at least I don't have to get up early tomorrow! SIL is here and is having surgery late morning, but brother Wil is doing the honours and I can rest.
