    1. P.S.: I think Mr. Browder is mistaken about Ukraine's natural resources; they are considerable.

  7. Yesterday Naomi had a booth at a craft fair (mostly ceramics and glass); it was supposed to be several weeks ago, but was delayed by rain. I helped her set it up and take it down. The weather was pretty warm, but not hot by our standards, and her booth was on lawn partly shaded by trees. She sold some larger pieces like bowls, cups, and plates, but mainly ceramic earrings, pendants, and refrigerator magnets, which were at a good price point.

    1. I never did like Paul Harvey. To tell the truth, his voice always gave me the heebee geebees, to say nothing of his politics.

    2. I must admit that I have Paul Harvey and Walter Winchell somewhat confounded in my memory; after so many years I think that may be forgiven. But who can forget the way Walter Winchell began his broadcasts:

Winchell opened his radio broadcasts by pressing randomly on a telegraph key, a sound that created a sense of urgency and importance, and using the catchphrase "Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. America from border to border and coast to coast and all the ships at sea. Let's go to press." [Wikipedia]
