I read that the USS Ford is being moved to the eastern Mediterranean, but for what purpose I do not understand. Certainly it will not be used to attack Gaza or Israel. It's supposed to be there so that Iran doesn't overtly "help" Hamas. However, I remember in 1985 that a US warship fired on Beirut. So we're not so clean in this.
So, there is yet unconfirmed speculation that Iran helped prepare Hamas for its assault on Israel. Iran denies this. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is heading to Moscow soon to meet with Putin. Putin would like attention and resources to shift from Ukraine to Israel so Russia can complete its takeover of Ukraine. All of this puts Biden in a bad situation, also desired by Putin. History will have whole courses on this mess, and people will be writing dissertations about it. Meanwhile, many many innocent people will die. We need to take the power away from the brutal and the greedy.
