    Impossibly stuffy nose.
None of the usual or exceptional remedies has worked.
    No sleep for me tonight.

    1. Last night I managed 3 hours of broken sleep, then a 3 hour nap in the afternoon.
About to see what tonight has in store. One thing it includes now is a viral sore throat.
      Favourite remedies?

  2. Naomi and I go sketching (leaving about 0830 hrs.) where we will have shade, and ice cream if desired. Predicted high 110F or a bit less [not a record]. No gardening; yes, I had become mildly dehydrated. Water and balanced [sodium and potassium chlorides] salt pills ["Thermotabs"] took care of it. I was amazed several years ago when I discovered that the local drugstores (all big chains) didn't stock salt pills any more, but Amazon does. Each year it takes some time to get used to the hot weather. Much as one might joke about it, 110 or more is certainly hot.

  4. Invasive snake wrestled into submission by hunters is Florida’s longest [Click] Florida has long entertained tourists with alligator rasslers; maybe it’s time to move on to python rasslers.

  5. After everything else, around midnight my DSL crashed. Aside from punching the on/off button, I know of no cure, and that's sketchy, so finally went to bed around three. Woke to find it as good as it was before it crashed. Not perfect, but serviceable. Dialup was never this unreliable. . .

    1. Especially on the weekend, when there are more users, the providers ration service. I think there is an effort to legislate better service. However, the electron is an unreliable quantum and I do not rely on it.
