On Thursday, the snowpack in the southern Sierra was 436% of normal for this time of year, according to California’s department of water resources (DWR). I haven't yet found any mention of Kings River water being diverted into the San Joaquin River, but maybe that's not exciting enough to attract the attention of newspaper reporters. ---Alan
Just now (720 PM) I looked out across the river bottom and saw that another sand bar/island has emerged. The river seems to have fallen nearly three feet. ---Alan
