    1. Hey lady! How are you? Have you had the first surgery yet?
What on Earth were you doing awake at that time of day?
      Was today the day??
Keep us posted. Call me if you can. XOXOXXX

    1. I have had significant high-frequency hearing loss since childhood (probably due to earaches that were not treated with antibiotics); my hearing continues to very slowly deteriorate in my geezerhood, but so far I remain recalcitrant about hearing aids.

    2. Was the sound overwhelming?
I knew an elderly woman who loved her hearing aid on Sundays...because if she didn't like the sermon she'd just turn it down. LOL.

    2. Huzzah that the capsule was found!!

      As to the Gravel Slalom...
"driving freely on the left except as they approach the brow of a hill"
Yup. We do that every year. But it's usually in March, not January!
The key is to keep at least one side of the vehicle on the driest part of the mess.
We call it "riding the ruts."

We've only gotten stuck once...back when the kids were little...on Mother's Day.

    3. That capsule must emit some pretty ferocious gamma rays to be found that way.

  4. I am so sad about the man who died in Alburgh, after a brawl among spectators following a Middle School basketball game! However, I can't say I'm overly shocked. When VT*Grand played basketball in Middle School, the parents sitting in the stands would constantly be shouting advice to their kids! We were really disgusted by it. They have a coach and the parents calling the kids by name and demanding they do this or that sure seemed like the worst sort of helicopter parents. Mind you, we are an hour or so (about 50 miles) from Alburgh. And VT*Grands games were about an hour south of us. But, I think the school rivalries up there between Alburgh and St. Albans must go back generations. It's just insane.

    1. Apparently someone took a video of the fight that broke out, so that will help pinpoint the abusers.
Also, the school has finally said the right things...

    2. It sounds like there were multiple videos; the more the better. The whole thing is mind-boggling. Spectators should be banned for at least the balance of the year, for all types of games. If the decedent was an "eggshell victim" that is not an extenuating circumstance.

    3. Of course for all we know the fellow died of a heart attack. The medical examiner will want to make sure his report is as accurate and complete as possible, which will take some time.

Done, very pleased and tired. Techs never found vein for the IV, I ended up taking an oral, under the tongue relaxant. Surgery was short, I felt a twinge, twice. but that was it. Vision in the left eye about 90% better. HAPPY LADY!

    1. Outstanding! Thanks! I am surprised you can already see through the eye--I should have thought it would be covered for a while.

    2. AWESOME!!!! ✨❤️✨ And I'll bet that makes facing the second round in two weeks a LOT easier.

So very excited for you being able to see well again! What an amazing surgery it is! 😃👍
