This is significant because Peter Welch and Pat Leahy have endorsed Molly Gray. Both are good candidates, but Molly is more the Dem establishment candidate, and Becca is more the hands-on Progressive. Becca does far better on Climate Change. Both are intelligent and worthy of the post. They are the top 2 contenders.
If approved by voters, the right to an abortion would be enshrined in Vermont's Constitution. It has already passed both House and Senate and been signed by Vermont's Republican Governor Phil Scott.

I neglected to mention that Becca Balint and Molly Gray are running for Peter Welch's House seat, as he is running for Senate.
