  4. Wow! All your posts today seem to bring good political news, save only the Economic Storm.
I certainly hope that the DT mess spins out just long enough that the GOP doesn't have a strong candidate to replace him after they cart him off to prison.

    1. Even the stalling of the bill has a positive twist, since it shines a light on a Republican looking like the fool he is.

    2. Authoritarians are addicted to authoritarianism for two reasons: they are habit-driven personalities and they are keen to shirk responsibility. Leaders are easy to turn into sca;egoats, though many seem not to understand that. Republicans suckered Donald Trump and he was an easy mark.
Remember when he promised to "drain the swamp"? It was obvious he did not appreciate that the vipers were nesting on the Hill. He thought he was the snake.
Trump had reason to be suspicious of the vote in Georgia. Twenty thousand voters took ballots and skipped the presidential box (those were probably not Democrats) and another thirty eight thousand voted for the female Libertarian. Did polling fail to pick that up? For sure.

    3. As for the economic storm, as I recall, they pointed out that much of it will be supply chain problems, which people now have recent experience handling. I should hope that Mr. Biden will be able to encourage production of wheat in the US Midwest, to make up for that lost from Russian and Ukraine. It's probably too late for this year, though. Second best, divert the corn planted for making gasohol to human food.

  5. Often times, judicial action depends heavily on perp compliance. On the one hand, it weighs against innocents who refuse to admit to what they did not do; on the other, it results in leniency in the punishment phase. The most knowledgeable perps known how to work the system.
Trump still perceives himself to be innocent because "words can never hurt me" AND he is genetically resistant to compliance of any kind.
He's going to be one of those perps to whom Judge Jackson finds it necessary to explain the law so they won't wallow in self-pity and resentment.

    1. I still like the idea of giving Donnie free room and board at Fort Jefferson [Click] and allowing him to build and use a golf course there. No golf cart, though.

  8. Absolutely beautiful. The government of Poland appropriated $2billion to help Ukrainian refugees. The people of Poland felt that wasn't enough. This story tells what those wonderful people have been doing. I stood in the kitchen and cried.
