  1. Many common omega-3 fish oil supplements are rancid [Click] “Independent tests find that a number of products on the market use oxidised oils, with the rancidity often masked by flavourings.” Small wonder in view of the supply chain, which is described.

    1. I found so many.

Here’s one I’d never read before that stood out for me today…

      38. “Power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love.”

    3. The one I found particularly impressive when I visited the MLK memorial last month was the one that is #2 here: “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

  3. Marbled crayfish on the march! [Click] Certainly an invasive species, but very interesting and not all bad by any means. Origin unknown but closely related to a crayfish found in Florida. Mention also of red swamp crayfish (from North America).

  4. Sure looks like a lot of weather on the East Coast; even a bit of snow plus tornadoes in Florida. Looks more or less OK in Jericho, hope it's not bad for puddle and Cat.

    3. Thoughts beget words, and words beget actions. It seems rather difficult to believe the authorities couldn't figure out some way to lean on the offender if they wanted to.

  6. Penny has now been transferred from the ICU to a regular hospital room. Things are progressing, although it is not entirely certain how far her recovery will go. A full recovery to the status quo ante appears at least plausible

    1. That doesn't sound bad; thanks for checking in. Do you use propane for heating?

  8. Nope. For cooking and heat backup.

    1. Hadn't heard of them before, but Amazon and Home Depot are informative. Little electric heaters with fans, I gather.
