  1. Covid cases are surging in Europe. America is in denial about what lies in store for it. [Click] In a few spots the English is unclear, but nevertheless very well worth a read.

  2. Well, crud. I signed up to get Christmas presents for two children. So, I got teenage sisters who want clothes and shoes, Boyz to Men "stuff" and a game. I don't even have a slightly foggy idea of what to get and I hate to buy stuff thinking they'll probably HATE it. I can buy their shoes in the right size, but will they like them? Unknown. I really hate not having clear parameters.

  4. Both phone lines back, after a 24 hour outage. Cooter went uo the hill with a cell phone and a chair to cal it in. I think it was likely pointless--since both lines were out, think it was a wide area outage.

  6. That original Medical Center of Vermont looks very Stephen King-ish to me.

  7. I am making good progress reading Mark Twain's "Life on the Mississippi." If there are others here who have not read it, I can definitely recommend it. The price is right, too; free on gutenberg.org.

I guess that's what happens when you have two meetings followed by grands on the premises!!!
