And the encomia are flooding in; "a great statesman" etc. That he lapped up and amplified that obvious nonsense about Saddam Hussein being allied with Al Qaeda, brought death, destruction and displacement to tens of millions of people, demonstrated at monumental expense the limits of US military power, etc. were just little things that barely deserve mention.
NYT: Threats, Resignations and 100 New Laws: Why Public Health Is in Crisis [Click] An examination of hundreds of health departments around the country shows that the nation [will] be less prepared for the next pandemic than it was for the current one. “Everybody looks at public health now and says, ‘Who wants to work there?’ Who wants to work in that chaotic mess?”
Clarification: the article never identifies how it is *chemically* different from before. I should expect some byproduct or impurity, since that has happened with other illicit drug syntheses.
Ya know, this country is so f*cked up. I went in to pick up two prescriptions and only one of them was filled. I called the pharmacy today to see why they hadn't filled the second one. The pharmacist says, "Because you're not completely out of it yet and Insurance won't pay for it until you are."
"But I don't HAVE Insurance". Still not getting it filled, so even when you DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE they are allowed to call the shots about your self-paid medications. Friends, we are in trouble.
Any chance that particular med is a controlled substance?
For 20 years I've been taking an anti-viral to keep me from getting Shingles. All that time the insurance wouldn't let me get a new batch until enough days had passed that I had used it all up. Just last month, for the very first time, out of the blue, they okay'd me getting a 3 month supply! It was just ready to pick up and I had no idear they were doing it that way until I was picking it up.
So, if it's not the insurance company forcing the WHEN, but the pharmacist won't budge, could it be the pharmaceutical companies who set the bar?

DeleteHeadline from The Guardian:
DeleteColin Powell’s UN speech: a decisive moment in undermining US credibility
Analysis: His security council presentation didn’t directly lead to the Iraq invasion – but it was a turning point in US-UN relations
At least he repented of it and later left the GOP.
DeleteBut, yeah.
NPR didn't skirt it.
Repentance granted, not that it undoes the damage. Glad to hear NPR covered that.

DeleteYou 'made me look' when the header didn't name the drug. METH.
I should have done that; mea culpa.
