"The Republican Governors Association on Tuesday threw out Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow and a top Trump ally, after he showed up to its spring conference in Tennessee, he told POLITICO in an interview.

Lindell said he had flown to Nashville on Monday to attend the three-day meeting starting on Tuesday, but that only a few minutes after he collected his credential at the JW Marriott Hotel, an event coordinator in the lobby told him he was not allowed at any of the official RGA events.

An RGA official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said on Tuesday night that Lindell tried to join transportation for members only for a dinner at the Tennessee Governor's Mansion and was denied. The person added: “These events are for RGA members, and Mike Lindell is not currently an RGA member.”

    1. The puzzling part is what sort of credentials Lindell had. He is obviously not a Republican governor, which I assume is the criterion for being an RGA "member." But he had some sort of credential. What was it and what was it supposed to entitle him to?

    2. Sounds like the "credential" was his name tag for having registered for the event. Someone must have seen his name and recognised that he should not be there.

  4. We're getting some actual rain today! Whoo hoo! It is very much needed. However parts just a tad south of us are under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning and receiving winds to 60mph and quarter size hail. Yikes.

    2. This is incorrect. The earliest cases, although only identified later, were a month or more before those connected to the "wet market." The wet market appears to have served as a superspreader location rather than the origin of the disease. However, none of the earlier cases were in lab employees either. I firmly accept the conclusion of the WHO team: A lab accident is improbable but can't be conclusively ruled out without better access to the lab and its records.

I can't seriously imagine that US intelligence has anything to add to this.

    3. Something that could be added is that Trump pulled out the US Public Health officials working in/with the Chinese health services, for the purpose of communication and coordination with respect to potential pandemic diseases. The Trump administration also hushed up information gathered by remote sensing, and probably from clandestine monitoring. But none of that is news.

  7. Tonight was the first evening of sailing in the Wednesday Night Series that lasts all Summmer. It's the big kahuna of races for the year. Wil and Root*Center*Son went out sailing and took first place! There were four races and they took 1st, 2nd, 1st and 2nd, to give them First for the night. They are pretty psyched about it.

I'm psyched that the Severe Thunderstorm Warnings expired 15 minutes before race time and none of us lost any trees when the front came through the region.
