Interesting. Thanks for calling attention to this. I, personally, happen to think the defense got it right when they claimed that Chauvin had been distracted/captured by the witnesses/audience. The iconic image clearly demonstrates that he was not paying attention to what he was doing as he continued to suffocate Floyd. He was playing to the audience.
Yesterday I went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription from my dermatologist. Turned out to be a 60 gram tube of cream. The pharmacist said, "That'll be $116." I said, "Well, I'll be leaving this here then, because I don't have insurance." Then the pharmacist did some dark magic and said, "Well, can you do $29?" I said yes and I did. But here's the thing. Insurance companies that pay those outrageous insane inflated prices are NOT doing anything to stop Big Pharma's outsized greed.
Another day in the garden with good progress. I think I'm glad there will be rain tomorrow to give me a day off. We went over to see Root*Center*Son tonight and had a bonfire out under the planets and the Moon, with a Kestral flitting through the landscape and coming to rest at the top of a tall tree nearby. A great evening.
Not being familiar with the kestrel, I looked it up on Wikipedia--and it sure looked like a sparrow hawk, which we have around here. I looked up "sparrow hawk" and found this:
"The American kestrel (Falco sparverius), a North American falcon species, is also commonly referred to as a 'sparrow hawk'."

Well now, I finally got over to the last thread and left some notes.
ReplyDeleteWe had a large mulch delivery today, so I was in the garden for more than 6 hours...and it sure looks good.
One reply left. Glad to hear you can get out and do some gardening. It is a bit cloudy here his morning, which probably means it will be cooler today.
