    1. Sounds good. It may hurt at first, but in the long run you'll feel much better I'm sure.

    2. Thinking about how lucky I am. 25 years ago, moved here, and just by accident found, in place, and functioning very well, a medical practice based on community service. A decade earlier, two buddies from the same med school came to this county to put into practice a dream they’d dreamed: rural community medicine. When they came, there was one doctor in the county. They gave huge discounts to the low incomed, and in home care to shut ins. I’ve used the first for twenty years, and the second for the last five. Home visit is about twenty five bucks.

    3. Twenty-five [2020] dollars for a house call is certainly economical.

  3. This morning I went to the hospital for some routine blood tests; in the back window of the car I parked next to was a cute sticker I hadn't seen before: "Do you follow JESUS this closely?"

  4. Perusing the Covid news of the day, I find that there is good evidence that (particularly for older folk) vaccination is considerably more effective at preventing reinfection with the wild virus than is having had the disease.
