  1. How early humans' quest for [delicious] food stoked the flames of evolution [Click] An interesting theory, which brings to mind the idea that early humans were not eaten by ferocious wild animals because they didn’t taste good.

    1. You're welcome.
I hope Bezos and cronies see a HUGE drop in sales.

    2. Reading about the Amazon organizing drive takes me way back. It is all SO very typical. The one thing we were worried about was management hiring goons, but they didn't go that far. We learned a few things; for one, the farther we stuck our necks out, the more protection they got, both from the union and from the federal government. For another, many of our coworkers could be bought, intimidated, or fooled; their word was unreliable.

  5. Kiddle arrived yesterday just past noon, left today just past noon. Whirlwind. Now have water, and clean chamberpots and lots of dead mice in their graves. And a new keyboard and monitor (huge high def one). Took a nap after he'd gone.
