Just got back from many errands and from taking Son #2 to the Dr. He's been coughing every few minutes 24 hrs. a day since 3/16. He tested negative for flu. Doc said he is in Tier 3 for COVID testing and she could write the scrip, but thinks it would be better for us to just stay home and continue social distancing. Anyway, I picked up his prescription and we'll hope it gives him some relief. She told us to stay away from each other, but we already do that since we have wildly diverging interests and our own spaces.
867 COVID cases, 15 deaths.
Anyway, Mama Wart (because I worry all the time) will keep a close eye on things.
Hey! PhD*Son is a Selectman in Kennebunk, Maine and was the only member of the Board who did not show up for the meeting in person, but was present instead via Zoom. He brought up issues like people congregating at the beach and how they might kindly discourage that, as well as advocating to hold future meetings all via Zoom. So proud!!

“Last week 3,667 Vermonters lost their jobs and applied for unemployment insurance. To put that number in perspective, during the week of March 14, applications totaled 659 and at the peak of the Great Recession there were only two weeks when more than 2,000 Vermonters applied for unemployment insurance.”
