  1. Sanders Widens Lead In New Hampshire

January 23, 2020 By Taegan Goddard

A new WBUR poll in New Hampshire finds Bernie Sanders leading the Democratic presidential race with 29%, followed by Pete Buttigieg at 17%, Joe Biden at 14% and Elizabeth Warren at 13%.

Said pollster Steve Koczela: “I wouldn’t take these numbers to the bank. But you’ve got to be feeling pretty good about where you stand right at this moment if you’re the Sanders campaign.”

    1. We made a little donation to Bernie today.

National Nurse Team is next. (Teri will have to go to DC again, to testify when the bill FINALLY gets a hearing.)

National Review [Click] makes a reasonable argument for what the Republicans in the Senate ought to be doing to keep Trump in office, but are not.

Jonathan Bernstein: “I’ve watched two days of the impeachment trial so far and I’m sure of one thing: It’s not what Trump wanted. It’s almost certainly not what McConnell wanted.” [Click]

    Gotta run—class this morning.

  4. CNN wants your Impeachment questions for their 6:30pm Anderson Cooper show.

    Here's mine:
I am an Independent. Having listened to much of the House Impeachment hearings, reading news reports for months, and so far listening to *all* of the Senate Impeachment trial (including interviews on the fly with Republican Senators and the President's lawyers), my question is: What must supporters of the President be hiding? Or else, why would anyone think we should allow this behavior to continue? We the People say: Remove the President.

  5. puddle tells me that Canadian born Neil Young has become an American citizen just so he can vote against DT in November. God bless the man. I'd have been happy to swap with him. LOL!

  6. Check this out!!

"While McConnell is not mentioned in the Constitution, Chief Justice John Roberts is. Indeed, it is the Chief Justice of the United States who shall “preside” over the trial, not the Majority Leader. So why isn’t it up to Roberts to decide whether witnesses shall appear?"

If the Chief Justice chooses a merely ceremonial role rather than the role the Constitution intended, then We the People are being shafted by the Executive, Legislative and Judiciary branches concurrently.
