"Donkey's Hill"

Actually this mountain is known as Camel's Hump.
However, 3 yr old Grandson, stretching to recall the name, recently referred to it as "Donkey's Hill."  We think the name might stick. 😂

    Dan Rather:
Pres. Trump announcing he wants to rethink toilet regulations might be the moment when a metaphor for where we are as a nation crosses over into the literal.

    1. When Dear Leader says people flush toilets ten to fifteen times, does that mean that HE does so? Maybe because he fears his own excrement? Or because he has heard stories about rats and snakes coming up through the toilet?

    2. Might go part way to explaining why he's caught on camera so often with toilet paper on his shoe.

    3. Yes, and the fact that people around him don't make him aware of it shows the lack of respect they feel for him.

    1. Biden is bad news. His time has passed. If it's true (and I don't doubt it) that HRC told/asked/ordered him not to run in '16 and he did not run because of that, ahem, request, then I personally think that shows him to be a wimp. I mean, he was the Veep, perfectly positioned to run. There was nothing stopping HRC from running as well, if she was so all fired sure she was the Chosen One. Let her fight for the nomination against both the sitting VP and a popular sitting senator. If she was so bloody wonderful she still would have gotten the nomination. We know she and her minions in the press smeared and lied about both Bernie himself and his supporters. She could just as easily have shat all over Biden. Or maybe she was afraid she couldn't win if two boys were playing.

In any case, for Biden to cave in to her like that showed IMO a distinct lack of courage, resolve and self-confidence. These are traits that I myself expect my president to possess.

    2. CNN had some news lines today about how Biden is the front runner and how the Dem Party isn't up for Medicare For All. Really? Gee, I thought that decision was up to the voters!!! And I'm sure up for it! The Dem Party setting itself up for failure again this time like last time. We need a strong Progressive Party to take the helm!!!

  3. Oh, horrors! [Click] The NYT goes on about how terrible it is that the Democratic Primary isn’t already settled—it might even continue after February! The Anointed One didn’t turn out to be a good choice for either the Dems or the GOP last time, as memory serves me. But the NYT must continue to serve up “Democrats in Disarray!” stories, no matter what.

    1. As memory serves me, a fracked well only produces for about two years--far less than a drilled well. So if new fracking is forbidden, presumably the existing wells will pay for themselves and be gone in less than two years. Sounds like a reasonable compromise to me.

    2. As if I need more reasons *not* to support Biden!

    3. Agree! When a candidate tells me to vote for someone else I take them at their word.

    1. The only thing "diverse" about Cory is the color of his skin. He is a solely owned subsidiary of the pharmaceutical industry and a neoliberal of the worst kind right down to his bone marrow. He is running for Cory, not for the people.

And to be particularly petty, his huge mouth freaks me out. There is something very "Monty Python-ish" about it.

    1. A measure of how much Lindsey Graham has come to be loathed. I even donate to Jaime because I HATE Lindsey and the mess he's made of himself.

    1. Thank you, Susan! I do too!! He's a real hoot. He has a LOT of spunk, and I wonder from time to time if he might be just a bit autistic because when Mama had a new baby and he went to the hospital to meet her, that went fine then he was all about how to make the bed go up and down! LOL! Plus he is so very excited about anything with wheels and people are kind of second place. But that could just be the modus operandi of 3 year old little boys.
