  1. Well, I'll be danged--Bernie is swinging by Fresno, albeit at a considerably smaller venue than the previous time he was here. But he's the first presidential candidate to do so this campaign, I believe. I just might go:

Bernie Sanders is heading to Fresno this week and he's hoping you'll be able to join him.

Can Bernie count on seeing you in Fresno?

    2. I'm not sure that I could say very much, but that probably depends on the crowd. I will bear that in mind, listener. I sure hope Warren comes by some day.

  6. Not too long back, I suggested that I'd like to see our approach to elections change. I'd like to see either no political parities, or at least more viable political parties than just two; and let's give all the candidates the same amount of money and maybe 6 months to make their case to the American people. Then just have an election (no primary) and do instant runoff voting. Done.
Well...looky here! (I could be Canadian?)

    1. "systems of government. The US has an executive branch headed by an elected president that often faces off against a legislative branch that - like now - is at least partially controlled by the opposition party.

Canada operates under a parliamentary system, with a prime minister selected by the majority party."

A parliamentary system is the sine qua non of having more than two viable parties. That calls for a revamp of the entire government system.
