Bernie is in the hospital. He has had 2 stents put into an artery. He had chest discomfort at an event and they took him straight to the hospital. He’s doing well, and will be resting for a few days.

Alan, they are cancelling his events until further notice.

    1. My only issues today have been:
      1) Art class
      2) Grocer shopping
      3) Nap
      4) Too many gnus!

    2. A quick look reveals too many gnus to link to. I will simply post a bunch of headlines with a general link for each set.

  3. My former best friend had a stent inserted about 10 years ago. They didn't open her chest, they went in through an artery in her arm.

    1. Right, Susan! It's not so much surgery as a procedure, sometimes referred to as the "balloon technique" or Angioplasty. As I recall from my days as a chaplain intern on the cardiac units at the medical center here, it's fairly minor, all things considered. Can't drive a car for two days. Don't lift heavy objects for a week. He should be feeling better already and great by next week.

I think I got the order mixed up somewhere, but don’t feel like straightening it out. You can get the general idea. Not sure if Blogger will allow this big a post; if not I will divide it.

    1. The information about civil requests for admissions under "When courts are stonewalled" is particularly interesting. I have encountered the procedure a number of times in depositions, but had not known the interpretation of failure to respond.

  7. Trump's bizarre press day was a full-blown impeachment tantrum [Click] “Impeachment, it seems, has got under Trump’s skin like nothing else. Over the past week his tone has become more frantic, frenzied and apocalyptic. On Wednesday, the world saw his id run riot. #TrumpMeltdown trended on Twitter.” Gee.
