    1. I'm skeptical that this is entirely a good thing. Turkey helped, and Turkey and Russia have made some sort of agreement. Hmmmm. So with their help DT freed IS, then pissed off IS. What could possibly go wrong?

I guess we'll see how this all goes when the dust settles. If it ever does.

    2. And, of course, DT had to say that the IS leader will stand before the judgement of God, just to keep this a really potent religious war. HEAVY SIGH.

    3. It's always the same ten or fewer adjectives....

"unbelievable," "perfect," "very very," "excellent," "great," "terrific,"

"Russia treated us great," "Iraq was excellent" ...

    4. CONGRESS WAS NOT INFORMED THAT THIS WAS HAPPENING...!!

DT says it's because "Washington leaks"...! Implying that Congress members would have warned IS?
      (Isn't that illegal?)

He did, though, tell Russia in advance. Just not Congress. Hmmm.

    1. Reminds me of chestnuts. The American Chestnut groves were almost all cut down for lumber when the blight appeared; not so in Europe, where resistant strains have appeared. The roots of the old American chestnuts survive and produce shoots, though.

  4. The sky is noticeably smoky here today. Still blue overhead, but as one looks down first hazy and further down sightly brown. No smell of smoke that I can notice. Considering that it is about two hundred miles from here to Geyserville as the crow flies, that's nothing small.

  7. I think we should just declare that the South won. And wall them off. Maybe a six months amnesty for those who wish to leave then BIG WALL.

  8. Oh, a BEAUTIFUL Big Wall! Like Trump promised. I figure that means alabaster, Carrera marble, or some such.

President Trump just announced he will keep troops in Syria to protect oil fields. Last I checked, Congress never authorized U.S. forces to be deployed to secure Syria’s economic resources. Putting U.S. soldiers in harm’s way for this purpose is illegal and unconstitutional.
