Moscow airplane fire latest updates. [Click] Clear from video that the plane caught fire during a bad landing; lightning had knocked out some electrical systems, including ground communications and some flight controls. 1. The article about Universal Basic Income starts by making the point that it has never actually been tried. It hasn't. The article then goes on to argue, on grounds that appear to be ideological but are never clearly spelled out, that we should have Universal Basic Services instead. But if the services include food and housing, this is hardly distinguishable from Universal Basic Income. And if the services don't include food and housing, then they don't serve the basic purpose of breaking us out of the wage system.

    1. I completely agree that the DCCC is misguided when it limits who can run in the Primary!! They are quelling enthusiasm for running. So stupid!

Instead, the Progressive student organisers and contributors should focus on Brand New Congress, as they work directly for candidates.

Al Sharpton on Buttigieg [Click] He makes a good point: “The most impressive thing about him is he seems comfortable in his own skin. You meet a lot of political people that you feel they’re insecure or trying to mold themselves to what they think you like. He seems to be who he is. And I think that’s impressive and refreshing.”
