  1. The Fix Is In [Click] Trump and Manafort have a joint defense agreement. I suppose that the countervailing strategy would be for the feds to have a joint prosecution agreement with state authorities.

    1. Here is a cogent discussion of the limits of a Trump-Manafort joint defense agreement. Enjoy. —Alan

  2. I think it's pretty funny that Rudy of the Flapping Mouth actually keeps revealing new crimes and handing more evidence to Mueller.

    1. You don't mean--it couldn't be! That Rudy is an agent of THE DEEP STATE?

  4. Just started reading about Hurricane Florence…gee.
    —Alan
Forecasters predicted storm surges up to 13ft in parts of coastal North Carolina, and the storm could dump 20 to 30in of rain in the hardest hit areas – and even up to 40in in isolated spots…Florence has sparked fears of an environmental disaster, because its path is lined with hog manure pits, coal ash dumps and other industrial sites…The storm has also kicked up waves as high as 83ft.

  5. Hey all.

Can’t leave links presently, but google to see what happened in MA today. Gas leak lead to 70 explosions and many houses bursting into flames!

And, oh joy, my duplex neighbor just put in natural gas. I hate that stuff. Fossil fuels...bah!

As for the hurricane...it’s really bad for the Carolinas. Waiting to hear how they fare.

    I love Vermont. 💚

Heading to bed early. Two meetings tomorrow and I am exhausted tonight.
    Take care, everybody. ❤️

    2. I saw the story out of Mass. and meant to post it, but other things intervened. Interesting to hear that you have natural gas available; I thought they didn't have any up your way, or at least in Maine. But I heard that a LONG time ago. We had fuel oil for heating when I was a kid--stinky, dirty, and propane for the kitchen stove. When we started building our home there was no natural gas here--everyone was on propane, which was much more expensive, but natural gas was brought in before we bought our space and water heaters. It IS nice. Believe it or not, I am old enough to remember gas lights (but only as a backup to those new-fangled electric lights). For those who didn't have electric lights, there were kerosene lamps--dirty, smelly, and troublesome to maintain. But way better than candles. What do you use for space heating and water heating, listener?
