Well, he’s got legislative experience. That doesn’t necessarily translate into executive ability. Not sure why we have to rush things. Rafael Eduardo Cruz’s adoption of “Ted” annoys me rather irrationally. :)
I agree with you about rushing things. This is a subject I absolutely refuse to think about until people actually start saying, "I'm a candidate." (Stormy Daniel's lawyer doesn't count.)
Bllod work. Kidneys, okay. White blood cells still high, so we're watching. Cholesterol down 15 points, HDL up 20 points, but she sez not good enough I should take something. I refused. jeepers.
*blood* Which means, actually, that LDL cholesterol is down 35 points, because the plu 20 HDL brings up the *total* cholesterol. What are they wanting, for Godde's sake?
This evening I strolled down the street at a time I could see Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars--moon hadn't yet risen. When I started I couldn't see Saturn, but then it showed up. I was strolling down the street to get my car, which I had parked on the next street because our street was getting a slurry seal (very nice job!) to cover up the damage done to the pavement by replacing the (seventy-year-old) water mains. Daytime temps around 90F, which is pretty nice hereabouts. I also discovered something nice to do when I am in Seattle on my way back from visiting my "new" relatives. I will be near the airport Sunday afternoon and evening, and there is a Sacred Harp singing in Seattle that evening! I've never attended one.
I'm cheering on your choices and your victories, puddle!!
Nice to see you here, Bill! Now where is Catreona?
Alan, thanks as always for some thought provoking links!!
Good point about experience, Hannah.
Susan, I know and trust you are out there simmering. Rock on!
Daughter and younger Grandson are due shortly. We're in for three or four days of Grand Fun, with a 2 year old in residence for a few days, 5 year old coming Saturday for awhile, then the Birthday Grand, Saturday-Sunday. She is turning 11 in style, taking her horse to the Fair for a day, then planning a Harry Potter Birthday Party. Good times!
I plan to at least tape and watch some of the McCain services. We don't have a Senator lying in state very often. And this person, though I quite often disagreed with him, deserves the respect. Oh what he went through. Plus he came through for us this past year or two.

DeleteBeto could needle Cruz by addressing him as Rafael, or Rafe...
