If you think 2017 was bad, imagine an America without allies fighting another two-front war, this one involving nuclear weapons, under the leadership of the most hated president in modern history, while a torture apologist runs the C.I.A. The world right now is a powder keg. Trump, an untethered maniac, sits atop it, flicking a lighter that Republicans in Congress could take away, but won’t. If everything goes up in flames, we can’t say we weren’t warned.
ABC News: “Flynn’s plea signals the former top adviser to President Trump is now cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team. A brief statement released by Mueller’s team Friday morning does not say what information Flynn has provided the government as part of the deal, but people familiar with the agreement told ABC News Friday he has made a decision to assist investigators.”
“The general told confidants about his decision to plead guilty in the last 24 hours, according to people close to Flynn, who say the former adviser feels President Trump has abandoned him and has agreed to answer questions about the president or anyone else.”
Perhaps most important, Brian Ross reports that Flynn is prepared to testify that as a candidate, Trump “directed him to make contact with the Russians.” ================== My right eye is OK for now, to be checked again in a month. Alan that is EXACTLY the ailment I had with my left eye several years ago and my right eye the following year (the second often follows). I had a sudden burst of dark spots that kind of freaked me out, and my eye doc sent me to a specialist because when he looked deeply into my eye he saw something he though might be a tumor! It wasn't. But it sure made for an interesting day.

P.S.: I think I may well have been right to suspect 2-3 days ago that his crazier than usual performances this past Sunday through Wednesday (or Thursday?) indicated that he suspected Flynn was going to turn state's evidence--he felt the noose tightening. If the WH staff was caught off guard, that is yet another indication that they are not very bright.
