The French presidential contest remains a four-way tossup; strategic voting alone, let alone last minute decisions by more than a third of voters, could decide the outcome. It doesn't seem reasonable to suppose that all those who have not expressed a preference will vote just like those who have, and significant amounts of soft support are common to the candidates.

One for the record books. Not, unfortunately, the shortest presidency, but the only one to end in self-immolation. Just make sure the fire department is on hand to see to it he doesn't damage anything else, and...Let 'er rip!

ReplyDeleteThe Chicago Tribune estimates that 40,000 people (yes, 4 zeros) marched in the city today. And yes, at least one of them was named Thomasson.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! Thank you for marching, Bill.
DeleteThat's an impressive number, Bill! Chicago has been doing some surprisingly green things for some time now.
