So that's what they were talking about. I just caught or thought I caught the words 'Trump debate Bernie' on the television and thought it must be an aural hallucination.
Well, if Trump is stupid and self-destructive enough to take Bernie on head to head, far be it from me to discourage him. I'd watch, only I don't like blood sports.
Aw, c'mon Cat, Bernie won't hurt him *that* much. ;-)
I love Bernie's willingness to stand up to that bully! I'd love to watch that debate. Trump would be all over the map like the loose cannon he is, unpredictably spewing all sorts of hate and ignorance. And Bernie won't take his bait, but will stick to the issues, and show the world what Presidential looks like!
Oh, Bernie will mop the floor with Trump with one hand tied behind his back and without even breaking a sweat. I mean, the contrast will make night and day look like adjacent shades.
A minor point in a way, but I'm finding it annoying: Pundits keep saying 40% or more of the voters are independents. To reach that number, they have to count every single voter in Illinois as an independent. And that's simply an absurd use of the term.
So, here's what's been going on around here. We knew that Daughter was spending her junior year abroad (in Japan), but thought, "Oh, at least we'll have some time in the summer." Then she secured a month-long summer internship in Japan (teaching English) and we thought, "Well, at least we've got her until July..." Whereupon, of course, she got another internship, this one in D.C., for 7 weeks. Yeah, I know, at least she's motivated. But, dang.
{{{ Renee }}} I hope she finds there is some time between doings to come home. We have always maintained that our kids are welcome any time but there are very few "command performances." We don't see them as often as we would like. But we know that when we do see them it's because they want to see us. And that's something, at least.
BTW, our grandchildren adore us! So there's still hope of the next generation!
Bill, on Win10 the "color" and "display" functions do totally different things than they do on earlier iterations of Windows. I did find a nice theme to download from Microsoft that pretty much does the trick. Just need to see if it's possible to remove the image from the desktop and go back to a solid color. But if not, the snowflakes on a darkish blue background is something I can probably live with.
No way Bernie beats Trump--elsewhere I blog Trump's supporters are already drooling about how he's gonna wipe the floor with Sanders. The reality won't matter.
Bernie is Fearless! :-)
ReplyDeleteOn Jimmy Kimmel Live Trump says he'd love to debate Bernie for charity. Bernie accepts!

The trouble is with Trump that any time he does something for "charity" somehow the money ends up in HIS pocket.
DeleteAh, Susan, your sweet lack of cynicism is so refreshing. LOL

ReplyDeleteRenee, I'm sorry. That kind of behavior is uncalled for, to put it kindly.

ReplyDeleteGlad it more or less worked out.
