I think there's a black hole near my desk. Otherwise I cannot explain how I can sit in this chair, without moving, and *still* lose things that were on my desk! Black hole. Gotta be.
Clinton Will Allow Significant Sanders Input for Platform [Click] Platform committee appointments HRC 6, Bernie 5, Schultz 4. Well, that’s a little progress—and certainly wouldn’t have happened if Bernie et al had simply rolled over. But no Clintonite concessions on Rules Committee membership, which I should think is the more important. I do hope that the National Convention Rules Committee sees the wisdom of avoiding the sort of railroading exhibited at the Nevada convention; that would be playing with fire.
The California polls reported by the MSM for California strongly favor HRC; well, we will see. Bill Clinton was supposed to talk at Fresno State today, I will report on attendance when I find out.
listener—I have confirmed my impression that the Platinum Preppy pen does not work well with a converter—it is much more ink cartridge-friendly. The Pilot Vpen works well when refilled. I greatly prefer waterproof black ink for work, and that doesn’t seem to be available in either Platinum or Pilot cartridges. The Pilot Vanishing Point pen works OK with a converter, but seems to run out of ink quickly; maybe I just haven’t learned how to fill the converter properly—there is no way to see how much ink is in it.
I saw a butterfly outside yesterday and I don't know what kind it was. Black or dark brown and bright orange, but not at all like a Monarch or Mimic. Stay tuned.
Bill Clinton filled the Satellite Student Union at Fresno State, capacity 857, with some people (estimated 100-200) left standing in line. Some Bernie supporters staged small demonstrations outside.
Even NPr, huh? Well, I started having doubts about them some time ago. Maybe it's just as well I've gotten out of the habbit of listening to the radio.
The chair throwing debacle reminds me of a snippet heard on the TV this morning. Presumably it was MSNBC but I couldn't swear to that.
The gist if not perhaps the exact words: And so Hillary Clinton starts yet another week with not one opponent but two, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.
I had to almost physically bite my tongue to keep from saying, "Oh, the poor baby!"
All this crap about Bernie blocking her path and it being her time etc. etc. etc. is really getting up my nose!
Maybe the butterflies on the horse are copper? And will weather to the wonderful blue-green patina?
ReplyDeleteMy favorite butterfly is a spice bush swallowtail. And there are a lot of them here, blessedly.
Also find the Mourning Cloak gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteI have one of those too, Susan. Pesky things, those personal black holes. Eat all kinds of things, from pens on up.

About how big was it, listener? I think it resembles some small ones we have hereabouts.
