We are doing a LOT of sorting, throwing out, binning up and clearing out, so that the ceiling in our Sonroom can be painted on Thursday. So I am more absent that I want to be right now. I very much appreciate the links and comments (Alan! You're phenomenal at this!), and find everyone's observations informative and companioning.
Good point about the small contributions, Bill. I feel sure each time we contribute it's considered another small contribution vs being small contributors.
You're welcome, listener--but truth to tell, I was being lazy and snooping around the Internet when I should have been working! But I think I will get everything done that needs doing before going back to conventional work on Wednesday. We've been getting some gardening done. Weeds nearly under control, cutting back honeysuckle etc. growing over the fence from the neighbors' place. For dealing with the overgrowing trees I really wish I could borrow one of Reagan's Star Wars lasers! We've been putting out left over food and scraps for the possums lately, and the past several evenings have seen a mommy with babies in her pouch (they stick their heads out to eat once in a while). It interesting to see what they will eat and will not; they don't like sweet potatoes or citrus--but they DO like curry! Whooda thunk? This past week we had a low pressure system come through that lowered temperatures but didn't give us any rain, then it started warming up. Yesterday it was very uncomfortably warm to work on the south side of the house in the sun during the afternoon. Right now I am printing a bunch of disc labels, so have time to blog and root around the Internet.
"It interesting to see what they will eat and will not" They = the [adult] possums, not the baby possums. The babies might be eating bits of cooked rice or suchlike. Hard to say.
Sanders gets under Clinton's skin in New York [Click] Longtime Hillary Clinton allies wonder how she'll react to sharper attacks in the general election. [Once again, some dope of a writer, and possibly a dope of an editor, thinks one is "coronated" at a coronation. At my primary workplace there seem to be many young people [college graduates!] who think that one prepares a homogenate by "homogenating" something. Other regular irritations include ignorance of the subjunctive case and latinate plurals. And the declension of personal pronouns.] Harrumpf!
Lots of stories today about problems in the GOP nominating process…no need here for more detail than that, I think.
Politico Magazine: "The Next Donald Trumps. 7 celebrities who've got what it takes to follow in the brazen billionaire's footsteps in 2020." It is my considered opinion that both DT and HRC are celebrity candidates, and that explains both their initial success and their ultimate weakness as political candidates.
The Momentum is Real: Poll Shows Sanders Widening Lead in Wisconsin [Click] While Sanders campaigns in Madison, Clinton leaves campaign trail for high-rolling fundraiser in New York. I should think that for appearances'sake the moneybags ought to go to where HRC is rather than the other way around…
It really annoys me that the media keeps calling NY Hillary's "home turf". No, it isn't. She carpetbagged her way into NY and she served as a Senator for NY (though I don't know of any real accomplishments during that time). The you have Bernie Sanders who was born, bred and raised in Brooklyn. You can't get more "home turf" than that.
Empowered!

DeleteI don't know. HRC was born, bred, and raised in Illinois. But to me, as an Illinoisan, she feels like a New Yorker.
