    1. That he does.

They are now predicting snow mixed with sleet and freezing rain for tonight into tomorrow. Ick! Not nice. Straight snow is much better on so many counts. *sigh*

    2. That's pretty much was we had last night and today, except no actual snow. It was sleet, sleet, sleet eventually turning to rain.

  3. Santa brought me two very nice fountain pens; I took them to work today for tryouts. The retractable Pilot Vanishing Point [Click] is THE ABSOLUTE BEST fountain pen for my work. I must pick a pen up, write a bit, set it down, pick it up to write some very short notes, and put it down again at least a hundred times a day. That''s morning and mid-day. In the afternoon and often into the early evening, I must write a bit, use the calculator, and write the results. Again a hundred times or more. It isn't practical to put the pen down while using the calculator; I swing the business end out of the way, use the calculator, then swing it around again into writing position--again a hundred times or more in a day. I have to write on two very different types of paper, and it works reasonably well on both. (I had been using two different pens, one for each type of paper.) The only other pen I have that works well on both types of paper is my father's Parker 51, which I cannot risk losing. The Pilot pen also has the best pocket clip of any pen I have ever had--easy to use, and the pen stays put. It will take a bit of thought and practice to learn exactly how to lay the pen down, pick it up , turn it aside and then back--but I should have that down cold before the week is out. Oh--also--the pocket clip ends up between the fingers when writing, so there is almost never any difficulty getting the nib turned the right way, and I can relax my grip without the pen turning. And Santa got it online for about half price. An outstanding product.

    1. It should go without saying, but I will say it anyway--no taking a cap off and putting it back on, because there is no cap. The point retracts with a push button, just like a retractable ballpoint pen.
