APRIL (Panel 2) Camel's Hump

  1. I did way too much on Thursday, that's for sure. Sorry I didn't come by until after the thread had moved on to the next day. Had to run errands, change three appointments and move a mountain or two. But it all came around right. :-)

  2. Today was yet another sunny day in the 60's! It's the last we'll see of such weather for at least a week. Some sun is expected on Sunday (how apropos), but it will be cooler, and by this time next week we'll have a bit of snow at night. Oh well. I do hope the weather pattern improves by the 26th as the whole family is coming for Mah*Sweetie's 60th birthday. That will be ON Grandson's 2nd birthday, so it's double fun! :-D

    1. Oh, surely... Then again, I recall snow in May. Nothing like New England weather, eh?

  3. Lovely picture.

Nothing much doing. Currently reading Dick Francis' Shattered, whose hero/first person narrator is a glass blower. One of the things I love about his books is that you learn about all kinds of interesting things. Saw a review on Library Thing that made this same point. In Straight you learn about the world of gems. In Proof you learn about wine and also about Scotch. There are several that involve flying small aircraft (Dick was in the RAF during the War). I particularly like the ones that focus on horses, but the breadth of subjects he covers is amazing.

Sorry. letting my enthusiasm carry me away again.

Just submitted my thirty-second quiz, this one on Rat Race by, you guessed it, Dick Francis.

    1. So true about the weather, Cat. We recall some spitting snow on various May Days while waiting for it to stop or at least slow so we could go outside and do the Maypole! Ha!

That's so interesting about the way Dick Francis writes that I almost wish I still worked at the Library so I could recommend him to someone. Well, maybe when I sub for someone.

  4. Howard Dean Sighting! [Click] Capitalism needs to work for everyone if it is to continue working for anyone (I paraphrase).

P.S.: Strawberries from the local Hmong truck farms have a very nice flavor already, although they are not as sweet as they will be in a couple of weeks. Far better than the huge, flavorless, dyspepsia-inducing things in the stores.
