This is from the BBC. The New York Times' coverage struck me as biased, hostile and rather unprofessional, which was disappointing for one raised to revere the New York Times. But I suppose nothing is what it once was.

  2. We had a rainy ( ! ) day today, with snow-eating-fog into the bargain. We can actually see a little bit of earth again. It's still there!

  3. Oh yes. Nice to see the bare earth again, isn't it? Give it a few more days and the grass will revive and be all green... providing there's no more snow!

    1. Haha, Cat. It's snowing here right now! We expect to wake up to a dusting to an inch of whiteness. But that's okay. I don't take it serious this time of year. The sap is running and this weekend is Maple Sugar Weekend when all the sugar houses will be running at full capacity and we'll go get some sugar on snow. :-) Gotta have snow for that!

  4. "On Thursday, it was a far more confident, more energized Garcia who took it to Emanuel. The challenger pummeled the incumbent on everything from Emanuel’s decision to close mental health clinics and defend red-light cameras to what he called Emanuel’s decision to “insult and try to break” the teachers union, provoking Chicago’s first teachers strike in 25 years."
