  1. Howard is first, this sunny day.

"The Dean's List" is up at Fun Trivia. Come and play! And thanks again for the help.

  3. Just made the *best* choc chunk cookies! Homemade chocolate (coconut oil, raw cocoa, bourbon vanilla, Splenda), chopped, added to almond meal, coconut oil, Splenda, free range eggs, nutmeg. Dubbed: Choc Chunk Volcanoes. Utterly lovely anti-winter food!

  4. Starting Downton for the 17th time. . . . And am struck as I am every time how BAD the sound control on the first series is. Someone should be shot.

  5. This morning we had some real rain--the heaviest we have had this rainy season. Then it petered out and we had mostly clear blue skies and sunshine. The official word is we received 0.64 inch of rain, and some snow in the mountains--not much, but welcome. More supposedly to come starting this weekend.

My germs seem well enough rested to go to work tomorrow. It was a good idea to stay home for another day.

I can't talk about them, but I have several interesting cases in hand at the moment. One looks like a candidate for a very unusual defense that wouldn't be likely to occur to most forensic toxicologists because they don't know enough about medicine.

I am thinking I may watch Galaxy Quest this evening--or not. Gotta study Karl Marx too. Last night I saw the 2009 version of Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. PG-13; yeah, that's about right. Pretty good, I thought.

    1. When and if you can tell us about that case, I would be interested.

  6. Tai Chi in the morning. Then more house cleaning/child proofing. :-) Grandson is coming Thursday while his parents house hunt. I hope they get here before the house I just found is gone. It just came on the Market on Monday, but it looks perfect for them!! It would need some paint and a few little fix ups, but nothing we couldn't tackle before they move in. Nice piece of land with it, fireplace, gardens, room to grow. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high. Difficult!
