Howard is still first, but those goofy frogs are a close second.
Saw the surgeon, got my staples and tubes out. Slides and surgical margins were cancer-free. I'm able to drive again. Pretty sore, but considering the scope of what I went through I'm not complaining.
The frogs reside with my cousin Tom and his lovely wife Ann. Their gardens are extensive and rather eccentric in places…everything from gnomes to Mother Mary. :-)
SOOO happy to hear the slides and margins were cancer free! Whoo hop!!! This is wonderful news!! Glad to hear you've got your wheels back too. Freedom!!! Remember to rest a lot, still, please. Trust that tired matters.
Do you go for a walk with water wings, or with an umbrella? A swamp cooler would be worthless with that kind of humidity. Pretty warm again today, but less so. Air quality not good—I finally had to take one of those new-fangled antihistamines, which helped a lot once it kicked in. The newspaper said to expect clouds of smoke drifting through from various fires, and sure enough we looked out across the valley at one point today and there was quite a bit of smoke.
The permissible days to water one’s yard have been reduced from three to two per week. I got the sprinkler timer reset (with a bit of tinkering) and finished checking the sprinklers, fixing them as necessary. (I used to do that regularly but have been remiss for several years.) If anything, it will probably work better now.
I think I will watch a documentary or two this evening on Rhythm and Blues, courtesy of YouTube. Now that they have lifted the program time limits, there are some pretty decent documentaries to be found there.
I don't go for a walk outside while it's smoky. Today the effect it's had on me increased from stinging eyes and sore throat to feeling weak and tired out and at times a little disoriented. I think it's a lack of oxygen thing. Today's rain helped some. Hoping for more rain tomorrow. I use Tears Naturale II eye drops and Ricola sugar free Lemon Mint cough drops.

Susan, good to hear! And hooray! And hip, hip!!
DeleteGreat stuff, Susan! Rest as needed; you don’t have to be a hero and avoid taking a few analgesics if you need them for a little while.

Alan, I note that you have 12% humidity. Don't worry, I have the other 88%. Bleah!
ReplyDeleteCurrently our temp is 63.4F. Our dew point is 63. Our humidity is 98%. Yuggers!
