That Robin Williams was someone who made so many people laugh and smile, but was felled by depression, seems the cruelest way for his life to end. As I hold this open, though, I see more deeply than ever before what an amazing victory every day he lived was. Such a talent and what a struggle! He only lost that struggle once.
A relatively easy day at work today; tomorrow I substitute for the boss at a trial in a town a couple of counties away (about an hour and a half drive). It should be very straightforward, and I expect to get back in time for a bit of work at the lab. Then maybe a nap before checking out the Perseid meteor shower. With a bit of luck the sparse clouds we have tonight will clear up completely, and the full moon will not be where it will be a major problem.

P.S.: We like the low-end Whirlpool washer and dryer we got on sale (about 40% off). The washer balances the load very well before spinning--no thumping or jumping. The "time up" buzzer on the dryer is a a bit obnoxious--not as pleasant as the bell of our old Maytag. But we can turn it off if we wish. And the lint screen is in a less convenient location. No big.
Dean's at the Top!
ReplyDeleteAm absolutely speechless about the loss of Mork. Amazing man he was. So sad his demons beat him.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am sad too, puddle. ♥
