listener ~~ didn't mention that it will be a government contract if we get it. Which I don't expect for several reasons. As for getting paid ---
I am still just drawing my part-time pay even though I am effectively working full-time. My client is making noises about "getting me involved" in the associated start-up drug development company, which ha implies would be financially rewarding, but that is currently very much vaporware. And if the reference is to stock options, as I suspect, then any reward depends on the drug coming to market or at least reaching the point where a major pharma company buys the rights. It looks promising at the moment, but I have seen too many promising drugs fall by the wayside to have much confidence.
Your client's offer sounds like the payment given players in the movie Shakespeare in Love: "A share of the profits." "But there are never any profits."
;-) You seem to have your feet on the ground, which is a good thing.
Currently reading a book about Irving Berlin and Ragtime Age New York. Great stuff!
Listener, thanks for the kind words about my lyrics. In fact, both are full-fledged songs, with melodies and even harmony. The contest only asks for lyrics though. Don't worry, I shall indeed keep you guys informed.
