I have installed, powered up, and tested my new little headphone amplifier [Bravo Audio Ocean]. WOW! For CD's the difference in sound quality, even with my bad ears (high frequency hearing loss), is remarkable. For condensed formats like YouTube, and I suppose for MP3's, the difference isn't nearly as much as with CD's but is still there, I think. On the basis of online recommendations I swapped out the stock no-name vacuum tube for an allegedly better (but still moderately priced) one of known provenance. For most of my life I assumed good audio equipment would be wasted on me--VERY WRONG!
We are mostly done now, just a few optional trims to do and some furniture to replace over time. The pace slows now and we are ready to enjoy some relaxing days in our comfy home. :-)
