Happy Birthday #25 World Wide Web!

I can't believe Google doesn't have a fancy logo in honour of the Web today!!

  1. Since my car wouldn't start on Monday (never leave your parking lights on overnight), I couldn't mail to Howard's mother until yesterday. The postal clerk asked me what Howard is doing these days. I told her he is still speaking out politically, including on some talk shows, and that he travels the world for a company.

I discovered as I said it that I cannot recall the name of the company or their mission. So I looked it up on Wikipedia:

"McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) is a United States-based international law and public policy firm. It has more than 575 attorneys and public policy advisors in 13 offices and 11 markets. The firm provides legal, business, and public policy solutions in the areas of complex litigation, corporate law, environment, energy, family wealth, finance, insurance, global infrastructure, government contracts, health care, intellectual property, technology, and real estate."

Some say the decisions this company makes are not the best. Others say they're trying. The last line of another Wikipedia article on Howard Dean is very interesting, though perhaps wishful thinking more than fact:

"Howard Dean has expressed interest in running for the presidency in 2016."

  2. We got about 3-4" of snow overnight, which makes this the 3rd snowiest winter on record. Possibility of more snow next week, but probably not the 4" we'd need to reach 2nd.

    Bright sunshine now, temp 28F.

  3. Another gorgeous warm day. Cloudy and wind advisory. Me n the dog are fully appreciating incipient spring. . . . Bitter cold tomorrow, then back to warm on Friday.

    1. Enjoy your warm day, puddle. In fact, enjoy some of it for me too, please. Meanwhile, I'll enjoy some snowfall or you. I'm not sure I can enjoy tonight's single digits for either of us, though. ;-)

  4. 8" of snow here so far. It took Mah*Sweetie almost two hours to get home from work, with a brief stop at the store.

  5. Blah! No doubt we'll all be complaining in July and August that it's too darn hot, but a little warmth would be nice right about now.

  6. As to the Internet turning twenty-five, we've been together ten or so of those twenty-five years, which gives a person pause.

    1. Well, blogging took longer to get established. We had a real hand in that! :-)
