  3. I just figured out how to download, convert and burn to disk really BIG YouTube videos that choked my standard software choice.

  4. Quite warm today (over fifty), but the ice sheet between me and the car persists, so I'm iced in still.

  5. I have begun reading Charles C. Mann's "1493." It's absolutely mind boggling--I had no idea the Collumbian Exchange was such a momentous event for not just humankind, but for planet Earth. His "1491" was an eye-opener too, and I recommend it to start with, but this is a bigger story.

Weather not at all bad here, except for lack of rain and dirty; air quality poor, due to particulates. We need a good wind to come through and blow out the stagnant air.

    1. Rather garbled. Make that "except for lack of rain and dirty air (particulates)."
