  1. Kudos for keeping the blog updated. I'd invite you to stop by Hannah, especially if you're looking for reassurance on what may be a fateful day. The debacle in D.C. may just be a necessary kerfuffle.

  2. We picked a lot of persimmons yesterday for distribution today, and our biorhythms continue their transcontinental journey. They seem to currently be in the vicinity of Kansas City... And now off to work.

    1. I don't have of an issue traveling East (even to China)--usually one nap will do it. Coming back, West, it seems to take forever to get back to myself. Good luck!

    2. My experience is just the opposite. Unless I can do with minimal sleep for a "day" and then crash -- which works equally well for east to Britain or west to Australia -- it's always much easier to get on schedule by staying up late than by trying to sleep before my body says I'm ready.

  5. Well, the news here today is that (are you sitting down?), I got a response from the Dem guy!! He tells me he has forwarded my Resume and Letter of Interest to the Governor's office and is sorry for "our miscommunication." Pray tuned!

    1. Update: just learned that while 3 of us were invited to submit a Resume and Letter of Intent, only 2 of us chose to. So chances of appointment are now 50%. Yikes!

    2. Are we praying for or against? *grin*

      Good luck, listener♥

      BTW I like "pray tuned."

  6. Lovely, sunny afternoon. I had a nice tea: buttered toast with apricot jam and tea with orange, passion fruit and jasmine. Not altogether sure I like jasmine, but it made a nice change.

I am now the proud owner of a two (count 'em, two) terabyte external drive. Remember when one gig seemed ostentatious and totally unnecessary? Ah, for the good old days when life was simple. *wry grin*

I've been spending a lot of time at Fun Trivia and more time offline working on my own quizzes. It keeps me out of trouble. But it does become something of an obsession, so I need to watch myself.

    1. I even remember when 640 *k*B of RAM seemed like more than anyone could ever need.

Just checked for curiosity. Turns out that the external hard drive I bought for my backups, which I had thought was 2 TB, is actually 3. And the 1 TB drive from my old computer is now running as an external disk. Plus the 1 TB on my computer's internal drive. Really don't see how I'll manage to use that much. Somebody who saved a lot of videos probably could, but that's not me.

  7. Catreona:

    (a) I honestly don't know which way I hope this goes. Good people I admire and trust asked me to do it. I'm already a little overwhelmed day to day. But it's only until the end of January 2015. After that I'd have to be re-elected. I expect I'll be fine either way...but I'm not mentioning it to the kids or my coworkers or on Facebook for now.

    (b) I quite agree about Jasmine, and I really thought I was going to like it.

    (c) Ahhh, 2 terabytes is very nice indeed! My new hard drive is a terabyte, and it'll take me awhile to make use of it. External drives are such a good idear. Enjoy!

  9. Ah, Cat, I just found articulation:

I'll feel relieved if I don't get appointed JP, and honoured if I do.
