  2. Couple of fine cakes, listener! And thanks, too, to Alan.

  3. My sister had surgery today and I wanted to send her some flowers. So I called the hospital gift shop and asked for red flowers, because red is her favourite colour. They were out of red flowers...but!...they offered to have their florist bring some over. I asked and they let me call their florist myself and work out the arrangement, but still pay for it through the gift shop (better rate and I wanted to add a stuffed animal too). But here's the best part: Not only were they excellent to work with, the florist said she wanted to make sure the flowers were in my sister's room when she got there. Their trust and caring blew me away! ♥

    1. The extraordinary thing is that neither the gift shop person nor the florist actually had my name at any time!

  4. No real news about Morticia. Part of her tongue fell off a couple of days ago and it was sent off for biopsy. Maybe it's cancer, maybe it isn't. Meanwhile she got fluids and antibiotics and a kit that will let us administer fluids came home with her.
