Delicacy

The delicacy of the flowers makes it hard to believe they are made of glass!

  1. Howard Dean!!

President Obama's speech, incase you missed it.

I myself missed it, as I was out at dinner with family on my birthday.
But I have now listened to it, and feel he did an excellent job explaining his position. I am glad there is a pause in the vote in Congress to give diplomacy a chance. Prayers ensuing!

  2. Talked to Thankful for hours last night. Things *slowly* clearing for her. As always a nourishing time for both of us.

    1. Ah, glad to hear where you were, Puddle. I was slightly uneasy that you weren't around.

  3. Alan, really! How hard is it to spot the difference between GMT and local time? That slip up alone makes me very suspicious of the prosecution's competence.

  5. Finished The Rithmatist. Imaginative book and a fine read.

  6. Another hot one. Tomorrow scheduled the same. But cooling on Friday. So tired of hot air.

Kid's coming this weekend, so great working weather.

    1. Low last night in the high 60s with the high today around 95 and then lows tonight around 70. Then tomorrow is supposed to be high 80s with Friday, Saturday and Sunday only reaching highs in the low 70s. I'll be glad for the more seasonable weather, but, man, this temperature roller coaster is uncomfortable!

  7. I'm back. Both physically and on-line. Train arrived in Chicago a week ago but there was almost immediately a deluge of e-mail on the con-runners' list. Then, just as I caught up on that, the computer went blooey. I thought it was an operating system problem, but when the repair technician came out yesterday morning he said it would take a new motherboard and CPU -- which meant the computer wasn't worth fixing. Meanwhile I had been using a backup computer, but for no obvious reason it refused to recognize the internet connection. OK for reading e-mail, but the screen and keyboard are too small to encourage tying to do a blog.

New computer is up and running now. Good Web access. Most of the programs aren't set up because the tech is coming out tomorrow to transfer the disk drive from my old computer to become a second drive in my new one. I hope I can simply run the programs from there without having to reinstall them. And those programs include my e-mail client, so I'm still using my tablet for that.

Will try to catch up on what's been happening here, but there's lots of $work to be done.

    1. Welcome back, Bill!!

It was easy to follow your story since my computer did the same thing recently! My new one wouldn't sync completely with my old printer, so in the end I got a new printer too. Sure hurts the wallet, but I'm happy with what I now have!

Nice to see you here again. :-)
