Friday evening about 10:30 I got a call from the hospital lab; they had a staffing problem. I couldn't leave immediately, but took over at 0745 Saturday and worked until 8:30 PM. I had to interrupt watching "Romantics Anonymous," but have good intentions of watching it to the conclusion on Sunday (today, just barely).
I had to hustle two or three times Saturday, but in my downtime ordered shoes and researched travels. Found the best way from the airport to the old city/Latin quarter is by Metro; maybe a little steep at nine dollars, but for that one gets a 24-hour pass anywhere on the Metro system and municipal bus lines. That's a good deal compared to taxi or limousine bus.
My boy showed up yesterday (scheduled, lol!), and has proceeded to get stuff done: trash burned, garden attended to; general policing; dog played with; debris from porch roof removed; and water gathering is taking place as we speak. I'm impressed: this is his one weekend a month off from teaching Sunday School. . . .
