What's in your window?

Today I leave for retreat in Seal Cove, Maine. Mah*Sweetie will be home.
I expect to return Monday evening. No need to send Sheriff*Chuck, but
do know that I will be out of cell phone and wifi range while up there.
P.S.: I've got the front page postings set through the 19th. :-)

  3. Hallo everyone! :-)

I just left notes on the last thread. I'm especially advocating that puddle become a nice stone in her doc's shoe until she gets a new BP med that doesn't cause such swelling...! Who's with me?

We could always send Sheriff Chuck to have a word with said doctor. ;-)

  5. Na. No stones needed. Just time. I was during a period where I wasn't taking BP meds (though I have one that works for me). This was during the hospital visit, and the prescription they handed me on leaving. *Something* in the hospital was counter acting it. It's just that it takes so long to resolve. I'm back on my old herbal for congestive heart failure (Hawthorne) which is a very mild natural diuretic. This morning, much better. Few more days and I'll be good to go.

But this is a *perfect* example of why I don't trust doctors. And don't trust *myself* -- I *knew* I wasn't/didn't take Calcium Channel Blockers: I'd just forgotten *why*. . . . I should have asked someone with a computer to check my meds since I couldn't. Failure of oversight on my part.

Old story: who will watch the watchman?

  6. Long sweet quiet day. My neighbor tells me we had an inch and a half of rain. Quietest gentlest rain imaginable. Just lovely.

Think I may have tracked down the root of the swelling: calcium/magnesium imbalance. Was told my magnesium was low, and the calcium, too. The channel blocker can't have helped that, so upping both calcium and magnesium.

Left leg almost back to normal. Right one, not so much, alas.

  9. Hey all! (Where's Cat?)

I made it to Maine just fine. Had a blast with two Granddaughters tonight! I could watch their smiles for weeks on end and not get tired of it. ♥♥

Tomorrow I drive out of range. But I'll be thinking of you all and bringing back photos! :-)
